Future plans
I plan to form a transdisciplinary group from members of the local Parish Council, local schools and members of the local community. I will then manage and encourage the group to facilitate good communication and interaction and exchange of ideas and skills. I will oversee the group, but I will not impose any preconceived brief or plan I may have for the site; any decisions made for the development of Alvanley Community Sculpture Meadow will be a group committee decision and will continue in this manner.
The aim of the group will be to co-implement the acquisition and installation of the art, and initiate and develop new concepts, events and future expansion for Alvanley Community Sculpture Meadow.
I will arrange an interview with Joep Vossebeld, curator of ‘Odapark’, center for contemporary art, who has agreed to be interviewed via Zoom in the near future.
I understand that I will need ethical approval for the consent forms I will ask people to sign. I have initiated the process, but it can take some time to gain the necessary approval. I will ask existing partners to consider and recommend other people and organisations who may like to be involved in the project. My hope is to include of a piece of community art in Alvanley Community Sculpture Meadow. This would epitomise the whole ethos of the Meadow. Bringing the community, artists and professionals together to produce a work of art would result in a collaborative, transdisciplinary project.
